Vol #7 - Express Yourself! - Issues #2 We are back at HQ, Patrick awaits us. We tell Pat about A.O. and who truely is. A lot of people died in the Breakford Incident, Patrick has mentioned to Royce that both 13 and A.O. have been marked as a super power strong enough to stop enough event. The world is waiting with baited breath to see who out of the two are more stable. Royce vows to try to become a beacon of hope. We move on to plan the Cassandra paint heist, a.k.a "Opperation Clean-Strip", Royce says they won't allow for a "murder bot" to be built by Dolly. The opperation begins and we can see this is a storge facility privately owned by Cassandra. Roach starts to use their insects to get intel on camera locations, but finding that some of the buildings are hermetically sealed, Royce helps by detecting and pointing out vauge guard locations. Roach slices into the system and has access to the cameras. Vandal sneaks inside the warehouse and moves he way through, occasionally recognising and admiring some of the pieces, while Royce keeps an eye out for them and watches the guards movements. Vandal finds the storaged art and begins to emulate Whiteout's erasure ability to ruin all the pieces in the room, but has trouble with two in particular. He finds them to be the original "Whiteout Canvas", a white canvas with an white paint with experimental chemicals that give it metaphysical properties and another covered with a film that seems almost alive, akin to a symbyote. Vandal moves to touch the symbiotic appearing canvas and very nearly sets off a hidden sensor before Roach shut it down, snuffing the alarm at the cost of being found on the network by someone. As Vandal touches the painting, he notices there is give to it. He asks for permission to push further and then does so with the team's approval. In that moment, Royce becomes concerned as they can no longer feel Vandal's mind anywhere, because he enters a pocket dimension containing rolling green hills and a tree on a hill with a person standing next to a easel. Vandal moves closer and starts to speak to the artist, who stands in front a completely white canvas, of the appreciation of art. After this foreign painter gives some advice to Vandal, by the end of the conversation when Vandal asked for help to exit this painting realm, the artist askes how he entered, shows the painting having been completed and waves him goodbye as we all make our escape. We went to Macca's after, they showed Royce how to ------------------------------------------3 Days Later------------------------------------------------- As the next few days pass quietly, the team has done some independant research on Jeremy Ivores, a.k.a. "Whiteout". We find that he's a Newcastle University dual graduate with degrees in Art History and Architecure, though apparently had no interest in becoming an architect, and he has done extensive work in the community. Vandal finds that he has done some restoration work on Cathedral Park, he does something he quote "probably shouldn't has done" and messages the group tht Whiteout might be mad soon. Patrick messages the team a video of faceless civilians walking off of the train, making their way toward Cathedral Park as a horde. The team groups up and gets ready to head out, Vandal tries to ignore us and has tries to speed off to engage with Whiteout, 13 gets blitz' in front of Vandal and asserts to him "We'll talk about this later". Rushing onto the scene, 13 and Roach immediately start to subdue and remove the faceless individuals from this situation while Vandal is distracted by the victims. Some of the indiviuals starts to gather and circle around Vandal, focusing on his graffiti, then, all at once they turn head and stare at him. He sees a figure standing in an abandoned factory some ways away, knowing exactly who it is. 13 Creates a barrier that intends to keep all occupants inside to protect the public and miniminse property damage. As it goes up, the faceless drones collapse. Vandal then turns to chase the figure with incredible speed, in response 13 asks Roach to wait with the Whiteout victims until medical professionals arrive, but Roach refuses and continues after Vandal and though this does frustrate 13 for a moment they turn to pursue as well. Local Representative Laney "Lady Sol" Sol Old hero on Oz-Force named "Magpie" and his mascot companion "Swoop". Old villian called "Slaughterhouse" killed Magpie's companion Swoop. Magpie A figure holding Vol #8 Vol #9 We in Aegis Dolly works tech support: a night-time job, work from home. After a big fight, she still has to stay up until 3 to finish a brief. Her Dad who got lobotomised by the Rutherford Incident is in hospice care, and she’s still paying bills for that 24/7 care and treatment. She has tried everything modern medicine will allow, and has spent 20 years trying to concentrate a venom with healing properties powerful enough to fix it, without success. Her current plan is to find a psychic hero to do the job. She also runs and manages a small online fashion business, for which she models the designs on tiktok and Instagram. If she isn’t constantly updating her socials, her sales drop. Her ultimate goal is to combine tech and fashion design skills to make superhero gear and outfits. Vandal is from America, and was radicalised by their healthcare system. Came to Australia because Aussie superheroes are the world standard, and he wanted to take notes and bring the lessons back to America. Royce Rutherford lobotomised a hospital room full of people when they were born, all except for their Dad, who now hates all meta-humans and supers. Mother also lobotomised. They were taken in by a governmental institute, and given a cold upbringing full of uncaring and painful tests. They escaped very recently, and are now doing super stuff to prove they are more than the institute thought they were.
